On December 5th The Enrichment Partnership held their second event at Blackwell Grange Hotel. The event brought an array of schools, businesses and organisations together all eager to contribute to this project.

At the event students enjoyed a dynamic program, including a Christmas-themed singing workshop led by Claire Wilmer from Voices of Darlington, where they had the opportunity to rehearse and refine their vocal skills. The session culminated in a festive performance, as the students showcased their hard work for local businesses arriving in the afternoon, spreading holiday cheer through song.

Students also had the opportunity to hone their culinary skills in collaboration with chefs from Blackwell Grange. Working alongside the professionals, they helped prepare a delicious spread for the afternoon lunch, including sandwiches and savoury pork pies, contributing to a truly collaborative and festive experience.

Through the Enrichment Partnership students gain valuable exposure to different activities and opportunities, learning a wide range of skills which will the go to support their mental health, studies and future career paths. Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust secured funding from Department for Education (DfE) and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), led by the DofE and NCS as part of a one-year pilot program, aiming to improve the enrichment offer and engagement of Darlington and the surrounding area’s schools, through co-design and the collaboration of school's and communities.
