Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust is a family of schools consisting of 30 Catholic primaries and 5 secondaries, serving the communities of Darlington, County Durham, Stockton and Hartlepool.
The aim of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust is to provide a practical and moral purpose to the furthering of education, giving strength and a collective responsibility for the educational welfare of pupils in our schools. Pupils are the centre of all decision making and Christ is at the heart of our moral purpose.
Our Trust shapes its collaboration through the fundamental principles of Catholic Social Teaching. A group of pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon have returned from an enriching international visit to Estepona, Spain, as part of the government-funded Turing Scheme, designed to provide young people with global learning opportunities.
Students from across Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust’s five secondary schools came together for a vibrant celebration of languages, culture and history, showcasing their work on the renowned El Camino pilgrimage.
There was jubilation at Wembley Arena yesterday as Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School’s under‑11 girls’ football team were crowned National League Trust champions, following a thrilling 2–1 victory in the final. The Hartlepool school’s team delivered an outstanding performance on the national stage, securing the title after a remarkable journey through local, regional and northern rounds to reach the final at the home of English football.
