Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy is proudly celebrating a hugely successful Ofsted inspection, having been rated ‘Good’ in all five areas. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, hard work and commitment of the entire school community, following a previous judgement of ‘Requires Improvement’.

The recent report highlights the positive transformation at Holy Rosary, noting that “Pupils enjoy coming to this school. They are polite, respectful and articulate.” Inspectors also praised the school’s strong focus on learning and meaningful family engagement, “The school prioritises its engagement with families. For example, parents and pupils enjoy reading together at reading breakfasts or tackling mathematical problems in the maths café.” A consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning has also been recognised, “The school has a consistent approach to promoting effective learning. Pupils have positive attitudes to their learning.”

Headteacher Lucy Flaherty said: “We are incredibly proud of this outcome, which reflects the tireless efforts of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the support of our families. Together, we have worked hard to build a school where children thrive both academically and personally.”

This success has been warmly welcomed by Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust (BHCET), who are equally proud of the school’s journey.“This is a fantastic achievement for Holy Rosary and a testament to the strategies, commitment and unity across the school community. We are delighted to see the hard work of staff, pupils and families recognised in such a positive way,” said a Trust spokesperson. Holy Rosary is now looking ahead with renewed energy and confidence, continuing its mission to provide an inclusive, nurturing and high-quality Catholic education for all.
