Students at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College are celebrating a range of outstanding achievements as they prepare to take the next step towards exciting careers in technology, healthcare and the creative industries.

Among them is Charlie, whose passion for computing began when he joined the school's Coding Club four years ago. Charlie achieved two Distinction Stars and an A in IT, Business Studies and Computer Science, earning the highest grades in Computer Science at the college. Known for his independent learning and determination, he is now preparing to continue his studies at Sunderland University.

Also celebrating is Jessica, who moved to the North East from Nigeria in 2024 and quickly embraced life at St John's Sixth Form. Inspired by her mother, who works in healthcare in the UK, and her sister, who is training to be a doctor, Jessica achieved a Double Distinction Star in Health & Social Care and a B in Biology. She will now pursue her ambition of becoming a nurse.

Meanwhile, Ruby is set to turn her love of the performing arts into a career after securing a place at Bournemouth University to study Hair, Make-up and Prosthetics. Alongside her A-Levels in Art, Psychology and Drama, Ruby has built an impressive portfolio, working with the British Film Institute, exhibiting with the Royal Academy of Art and gaining experience alongside leading West End make-up artist Guy Common.

Together, their achievements showcase the breadth of talent at St John's, with students now progressing towards bright futures in higher education and their chosen professions.
