Pupils at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy took great strides this term to support Cash for Kids, joining HITS Radio presenters Steve and Karen for an energetic and inspiring morning as part of the station’s ‘Walk Around the World’ challenge.
The event saw the school community come together in a joyful celebration as they walked laps around the school field, collectively contributing an impressive 100,000 steps to the campaign’s ambitious 68 million step goal. Spirits were high as Courage the Cat, the popular Cash for Kids mascot, danced alongside the children, providing encouragement and adding to the excitement.
Every participating child was presented with a medal by Steve and Karen in recognition of their effort and enthusiasm. In addition to their steps, the children also raised £140 to contribute to the wider fundraising effort, supporting children and families across the region who need it most.
Holy Rosary is proud to have played a part in this fantastic initiative and looks forward to supporting more meaningful causes in the future.
