Students from four secondary schools across our Trust took part in an exciting Trust-wide padel event on Tuesday 5th May, showcasing teamwork, inclusivity and sporting talent in a fast-growing sport.
The event ran from 11am to 2pm and brought together 12 students from across Years 9 and 10. Designed to give students the opportunity to compete, collaborate and represent their schools, the event formed part of the Trust’s ongoing commitment to providing enriching experiences beyond the classroom.
Each year group was represented by two mixed teams of three students, with teams rotating throughout the session to ensure all participants gained valuable playing time. Teams were made up of a balanced mix of girls and boys, reinforcing our Trust’s focus on inclusion, fairness and participation for all.
Students competed in a positive and supportive atmosphere, developing not only their padel skills but also confidence, communication and sportsmanship. Events like this play an important role in widening access to competitive sport and enabling students to thrive both personally and socially.
This padel event is the latest in a series of Trust-wide activities designed to connect students from different schools, strengthen relationships and provide meaningful opportunities for enrichment.
